<p>I forward 22 in the router to the back end machine.</p>
<p>Then forward 80 and 6544 through the Sam tunnel. Now when SSH is connected I can connect to localhost:80 or local host:6544 for either mythweb or using an app on android.</p>
<p>What I need to know is does the HLS stream come from port 6544 or some other port which will also require forwarding through the tunnel?</p>

</div><div>My cable provider does not allow me to run anything off of port 80, so I port forward 8080 externally to 80 internally on my myth backend in the router. I also forward 22 to that box as well in the router. I then to LocalForwards for 6544 through ConnectBot to get my app working over ssh tunnel.</div>

Chris,<div><br></div><div>I setup a wiki on this topic on our Mythtv Android app. You establish a ssh tunnel via ConnectBot. You would only need to port forward port 22 (or whichever port you are connecting via ssh). Everything else is done over LocalForwards over the ssh connection.</div>
