<div><br></div><div>It worked out of the box as a usbhid device (keyboard/mouse), no lircd configuration required. I just used the keybinding editor in mythfrontend to customize the buttons. </div><div><br></div><div>However, I was disappointed that the IR range was limited on it, maybe 6 feet, which wasn't enough to reach my couch. Also the buttons don't feel right and you have to apply more force to push the buttons than what I am used to. However, I lived with the mini mac 6 button remote for a few months, so having the extra buttons feel so luxurious.</div>

<br>It says it's mce compatible but other receivers I have purchased in the past didn't work with lirc. Was trying to find a few for less than 8-10$ before I go buy the more expensive dell versions. I like these because they are so small and cheap. <br>
