I didn&#39;t do the mythbackend as that seemed to be working, however I&#39;ve<br>
still got some strange issues and wanted to finish off the<br>
re-installation process.<br>

My question is, will running &quot;apt-get install --reinstall<br>
mythtv-backend&quot; kill the database?<br></blockquote><div><br></div><div>No... the database doesn&#39;t get created until you configure the backend... if it already exists, and you provide the credentials, it will just use the existing database. </div>
