<p>I have been holding off on my upgrade from .24 due to this ticket as it would be an issue for me.</p>
<p>Currently it would seem best to wait for .26?</p>

it has been reported that backporting the little fix breaks livetv
completely on 0.25. Unless someone tests it and reports success there's
no point in backporting it just to break all setups.
