You could just add a second SchedulesDirect lineup and tie it to this tuner only. I do this to separate my HDHomeRun Prime from HDPVR 1212. They can still get channel updates from mythfilldatabase and they are independent of one another.

I then go into Mythweb and just mark all the channels I don't want to record on this tuner as invisible. This way, i don't need to muck with the schedules direct lineups for my area code.

Also, since I have been having some strange issues with the HDPVR lately, in mythtv-setup you can mark a tunner as being LiveTV only, Recording only, or allow both to occur on the tunner. So I have my HDPVR 1212 setup to only do recordings on it, no live tv. (my HDPVR 1212 for some reason produces washed out recording and they tend to jump around and get pixelated. Still trying to figure out why that is. It has only been since .25 upgrade) But because of these issues, I don't do livetv on my HDPVR 1212.

Hopefully this helps you out.

On Fri, Jun 29, 2012 at 2:36 PM, Karl Newman <newmank1@asme.org> wrote:

There's a FAQ at Schedules Direct about this that refers to this:
http://www.mythtv.org/docs/mythtv-HOWTO-24.html#ss24.2
But I think that's a stupid, labor-intensive way to do it that will
prevent you from receiving new channels as they are added and you have
to do it all over again if you make a mistake or ever change your
video source configuration at all. I have a set top box and a digital
adapter (which receives fewer channels). What I did is create a new
lineup using my same zip code and then picked a digital cable lineup
from a neighboring city that has the same channel configuration, then
deselected the channels that I can't receive on the digital adapter.
Then in mythtv-setup I added the new lineup as a video source and
associated it with the tuner input that's tied to the digital adapter.

One thing you could try that might be the simplest is just to add HBO
to your lineup, do a mythfilldatabase, then go in and delete the
channel from the hdhomerun inputs. What I don't know is if it would be
re-added to those inputs on the next mythfilldatabase (I suspect it
might). Because you have both a Prime and a HDHomeRun QAM, it might
make sense for you to use the multiple lineup method like I did.
