Somehow i don't get any OSD information on one of my frontends. Browsing
channels in LiveTV works, but i don't get any OSD when i try to show info,
pause, change volume and so on.

I tried to start mythfrontend with -v osd to see any error message, but
didn't see anything. Does anyone have a clue on what i could try to fix
this?
Then I'd guess you have a broken Playback Profile(s) in your selected Playback Profile group. The easiest fix would be do either just switch to a never-modified-from-the-original "example" Playback Profile group (like Slim or VDPAU Slim)--assuming you are using a custom-created one--or if you're using an example group, reset them all to proper defaults as described at http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Playback_profiles#Default_profile_groups . Then, after the restart, go back through settings and choose an appropriate example group.

I think someone on here said something about somehow setting up a Playback Profile with an incompatible OSD renderer, leading to no OSD showing, but I can't find the reference.

Thank you that worked.
I don't remember changing any playback profile, i always used Normal. And i'm sure i didn't change anything when the OSD disappeared. Is it possible that any updates in MythTv made the Normal profile behave different? I'm running master. And checking that all default values was correct didn't help either. But the computer is a pretty basic one with a Atom CPU and integrated GPU.

Switched to Slim profile and the OSD is back.

/Stefan
