I came across an old post from a Debian or Ubuntu distro where someone
had a similar problem. This problem actually got worse before it got
better. <div><br></div><div>I tried using package-cleanup to remove any detritus from the
system, as suggested, and when I rebooted the next time, Xorg also failed with a
segmentation fault. That's when I recalled that Debian post where the
user reinstalled all the xorg packages. So, I tried ...<div><br></div><div>yum reinstall '*xorg*'</div><div><br></div><div>... and that fixed everything up. X started again, and when I restarted
the system cleanly, myth came up fine. I'm still not sure what library
or libraries where the issue, but at least I have a lead on how to fix
it if it happens again.</div><div><br></div><div>Thanks,</div><div>Michael</div><div><br></div>
