<p>This will work once I have the cut list. But my question is for a step earlier, how do I get a bunch of cut lists built in batch mode, ie, without the editor.</p>

You may want to look into "mythutil --getcutlist" to extract the cut<br>
list for a program you've already edited by hand, and feed the output<br>
into "mythutil --setcutlist" for all the other programs.<br>
