It sounds easy doesn&#39;t it - just scan and update channels. But when you start to look at it, there are all sorts of tricky ones - not least of which is if a channel has changed it&#39;s identity (by whatever measure you use), in which case you end up with two versions.<br>

At least with Myth you can script it, with every freeview device I&#39;ve used, you have to re-order channels by hand (if you can do it at all), and you can forget about renaming anything.<div class="im"><br></div></blockquote>
</div><br>But the channel id probably stays the same most of the times, only mux/transponder, QAM and such things that change. But yes, you could get multiple versions.<br><br>I guess i have to make one big script to update the channels and start from scratch.<br>
<br>What is the best way to remove all the channels? Yesterday i deleted all the entries in the channel table, but after that i couldn&#39;t scan for channels. So i also removed and added the DVB cards in mythtv-setup to get it to work again. But it was late, so i could have made some mistake. But i guess clearing the channel table should be enough?<br>
