I get ya. So why is it not working for me? I agree its a useful feature but I get the message from Mplayer, which is my primary choice of player, that cant open the stream. Do i need to set up anything else for this to work? Maybe need to switch to Internal player?
Note, this option is intended to replace the old 'mythbackend
--upnprebuild'. The UPnP server previously displayed its own
independent list of content, rescanned every half hour by default, and
that option could be used to force a rescan at the time of a users'
choosing. In 0.25, the UPnP server now uses the content scanned in by
the video library, so --scanvideos allows users who do not otherwise use
mythfrontend to conveniently refresh that list.
