<p>I am tuning the cable box and using the PVR devices to record. Sorry for the confusion there. You're right I wouldn't think I would have a problem since I tune the cable box and the PVR just accepts the signal. The two PVR500's don't mind whatever channel I change it to. However if I tune the cable box hooked into the PVR150 above channel 100 it drops me back to the main MythTV front end screen. I don't recall seeing an error on the screen and looking in the messages log I didn't see anything. I figured maybe someone else had seen this problem before.</p>
<p>I didn't think of this before but I'll try just doing a "cat /dev/video0 > outfile.mpg" and change the channel above 100 and see what happens.</p>
<p>Thanks for the reminder on the CableCard forgot about those options. I'll have to check and see if my cable company supports CableCards. I'm in the US using Cincinnati Bell FiOptics.</p>

If you're tuning the cable boxes then you've got the setup incorrect
as you should not be tuning the analog tuner and so won't have the
125ch problem.</pre>

supports the CableCard standard like many of us do you can always try
a Ceton or HDHomeRun Prime.
