Also, FWIW, you should be using the 0.24-fixes package for mythtv,
mythplugins (in the same mythtv repo), and mythweb (in a separate
mythweb repo). They're available as described at:<br>
<br>
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://code.mythtv.org/trac">http://code.mythtv.org/trac</a><br>
<br>
Specifically the part that says:<br>
-----<br>
<p>
<strong>Stable:</strong> If you'd like to get the 0.24 stable
branch, do this:
</p>
<pre class="wiki">git clone -b fixes/0.24 git://github.com/MythTV/mythtv.git
git clone -b fixes/0.24 git://github.com/MythTV/mythweb.git
</pre>
-----<br>
<br>
Or, if you don't want to use git to pull a copy, you can get a
tarball from github by going to
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://github.com/MythTV/mythtv/tree/fixes/0.24">https://github.com/MythTV/mythtv/tree/fixes/0.24</a> and then clicking
on the Zip button and doing the same at
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://github.com/MythTV/mythweb/tree/fixes/0.24">https://github.com/MythTV/mythweb/tree/fixes/0.24</a> .<br>
<br>
There have been several fixes since the 0.24.2 tarball was released,
so using the current -fixes code will give you those bug fixes.<br>
<br>
As far as myththemes goes, however, there is no reason to download
and install the myththemes tarball (or repo on github). Instead,
with 0.24 and above, the use of the MythTV Theme Chooser (under
mythfrontend Utilities/Setup) is preferred. That way, you only
install those themes that you want, and you get a choice from a
/much/ larger selection of themes (you may need to use MENU|Show
remote theme packages or similar to see additional ones), and you
get notifications when your chosen theme is updated so you can
install the fixed version. (Note, also, that the myththemes repo
has been emptied and all themes moved elsewhere (into individual
repos) for 0.25, so the myththemes repo/tarball will be disappearing
to help encourage use of the Theme Chooser. Having the repo/tarball
was confusing to users, who expected they needed to install it, so
we've removed it to help prevent this confusion. See the README at
the bottom of <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://github.com/MythTV/myththemes">https://github.com/MythTV/myththemes</a> .)<br>
<br>
That said, thank you for the report. The tarballs are used by some
of the distros, so we will look into the issue and get it fixed.<br>
