Hmm, I have Act 1 installed on my phone. I know it uses hardware
acceleration, however I don't see any option in mythfrontend
(android) to specify the player beyond the internal player checkbox.
Checking or unchecking the internal player option seems to have no
effect.</div></blockquote><div><br></div><div>You probably have some other issue stopping playback. I have yesterday tested with backend from latest mythbuntu and it plays video fine. Don't know why it does not work for you. </div>
<div><br></div><div>If you don't tick the internal player option the app will start an intent to play video/mpeg and android will ask you to select an external player. I have no plans of making an all-purpose media player since I think there are many others that does that better than me. The internal player option is not perfekt and thus I wrote "experimental" on that option. :)</div>
