Good news, after posting about this in Charter's community forums, one<br>
of their "social media" reps checked and confirmed non-premium<br>
channels should be unrestricted. They already opened a couple channels<br>
(CNN, Fox sports) and will review their full lineup in the next couple<br>
of days to ensure the flags are set correctly.<br>

I have seen it mostly happen when they add new channels. Copy protection is often enforced because very few people care and it is easier and safer to enforce it by default.</div>
