but you can do this with direct database manipulation.<br>

</div>Generally, you want to have an entry for these in your channel table,<br>
but mark them as invisible. That way, if you re-do the scan, the junk<br>
channels won't show up as new.<br>

The situation described in the ticket you referenced is exactly the situation I want to avoid. I really don't want to have to redo the xmltv (and other) settings for the channels I already have working.</div>
