<br>- the drives are horizontal (rather than vertical for the 5 into 3s, regardless of what the pictures show.<br>- its a trayless setup<br>- people said its robust<br>- it has slots in it so it will slide into the 5.25" ledges in my case.<br>
<br>My plan is to mount the OS drive in the server case and have 4 other drives in the chassis.<br><br>My case also has a top hot swap bay built in, so that will be my 6th SATA channel.<br><br>If I'm not RAIDing, 5 operational drives should be enough.<br>
<br>If I like this thing, I might mount a second one in the case.<br><br>I also bought wheels for my server case.<br><br>With judicious use of routers, drives and drive controllers, I hope to run Myth (with 2 HD PVRs serving 3 to 5 clients), NAS and Zoneminder all on the same box.<br>
