having some problems with
occasional stuttering
audio but have no idea how
to fix it. The relevant
bit of the mythwelcome log
is below. As far as I can
tell the files play just
fine in other media
players, I only have a
problem when playing them
in the mythfrontend. I've
tried playing around with
the audio settings in the
frontend with no success.
In any case, some of the
error messages seem to be
about video rather than
audio. The audio seems to
stutter more at the
beginning and end of
recordings but not only at
these times. Any help
would really be

I see your are using PuleAudio. I strongly suggest you do not use
PulseAudio and use ALSA directly.<br>

I've had myth using pulse through alsa for some time now. The
stuttering problems are much more recent so I don't believe they are
related to the use of pulse. In fact using pulse directly used to
cause hissing when skipping forwards during playback which is why I
was using pulse through ALSA. That issue seems to have been resolved
and pulse now seems to work directly (apart from the stuttering
obviously).<br>
