I currently have an HD DVR from Time Warner. It's terrible. It's time for a change. I've been reading about MythTV for some time now: the faq, manual and lots of archived threads. I'd really appreciate recommendations on what I need. <div>
<br></div><div>I'd like to be able to save everything in HD. I think four tuners will handle what we watch, only half of which is available OTA. I have a rig that I'd like to use as backend, frontend (for now) and NAS:<div>
<div><br></div><div><div> cpu: Core 2 Duo E4300 (1.8Ghz, but it overclocks easily)</div><div> mb: Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 (<a href="http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2510#sp" target="_blank">http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2510</a>) </div>
<div> vid out: Gigabyte (Nidia) GTS450 1GB (Has a mini hdmi out)</div><div> ram: 2GB</div><div><br></div><div>I need a capture device. </div><div>The not yet supported Ceton InfiniTV 4 seems like it would be perfect, but I doubt my rudimentary Linux-fu and nonexistent knowledge of MythTV's innards would somehow magically make it work. :) So, until the awesome guys that are slaving away to make it work with MythTV conquer it, what would you suggest?</div>
