Your missing files... does your card need firmware files?<br>
<br><br></blockquote><div><br></div></div><div>It does - but as I say, it was working before... and now it's not!</div><div>When I tried re-compiling/installing - it failed.</div><div><br></div><div>Having said all that, the system then got into a state where it would not boot at all.</div>
<div>Given that I had also been unable to get the touch-screen on my case to work (it too mysteriously stopped working a while back, having worked just fine previously), and it had started refusing to resume from suspend-to-ram, I decided that rather than try and fix all of these little strange oddities, I would start afresh - with a different distro :)</div>
<div><br></div><div>So I installed Fedora yesterday. Which has the benefit of being "supported" (ahem) by my oldest friend, who has - to his chagrin - been giving me computer support in areas that have befuddled me since we were at school together. :) </div>
<div>Now I just need to convince him to pop by for "dinner". ;)</div><div><br></div><div>Cheers guys</div><div><br>D. </div></div><br>
