my 10.10 mythbuntu install was playing silly buggers so i decided to back everything up, wipe and start again on 11.04.<br>from what i've found, the 'mceusb' module is now supplied in the kernel and not with the lirc package.<br>

</blockquote></div><br>well, looks like it's fixed; reinstalled 11.04, and its working straight off the bat!<br>i was about to try 'modprobe lirc_mceusb(2)', but didnt need to in the end. i guess this is what the info i found meant about its now in the kernel and not lirc.<br>
