My Greek sat provider uses a variant of Pace's DS830 set top box (<A href="http://www.pace.com/global/products-capabilities/products/ds830/#tab400">http://www.pace.com/global/products-capabilities/products/ds830/#tab400</A>)<BR>

The system runs OpenSuSE 11.4 x86_64.<BR>
The problem is that I cannot control it with the ir blaster of the hd-pvr I have. I followed all the steps of the mythtv hdpvr wiki (<A href="http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Hauppauge_HD-PVR">http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Hauppauge_HD-PVR</A>). I installed the media_build dvb drivers (<A href="http://linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/How_to_Obtain,_Build_and_Install_V4L-DVB_Device_Drivers">http://linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/How_to_Obtain,_Build_and_Install_V4L-DVB_Device_Drivers</A>). I installed lirc 0.9.0.<BR>

I can see the light blink during the execution of the <A href="http://www.blushingpenguin.com/mark/lmilk/send_power_new">http://www.blushingpenguin.com/mark/lmilk/send_power_new</A> script in step 9, but there is no response from the set top box. (yes, the ir transmitter is on the stb's ir eye ;)<BR>

Is the stb not supported in lirc? Can I train the pc to talk to it? What more info should I provide?<BR>

I have not used lirc before - I control the pc with a cordless keyboard.<BR>
