</div>If you have no intention of having the machine automatically shut down,<br>
why are you using mythwelcome in the first place. The only purpose of<br>
that program is to disconnect from the backend to allow shutdown, but<br>
still provide a remote controllable menu to allow you to open the<br>
frontend back up.</blockquote><div> </div><div>Have you considered vnc? At home I can access my mythtv box to start mythfrontend. You should be able to from outside your home by configuring your router. Bandwidth may be an issue, but if all you want to do is start the frontend it should work.</div>
