<html><head></head><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; "><div>Background:</div><div><br></div><div>Due to issues post-upgrade, random crashes, modules not either working or configurable and a plummeting WAF, I've decided to go ahead with a 'Clean Install of Mythbuntu, keeping old database' as detailed on <a href="http://mythbuntu.org/upgrading">mythbuntu.org/upgrading</a> page. </div><div><br></div><div>I've backed up the db, grabbed the MySQL password, even tarred up the /etc and /home directories, so that I can access any settings as required</div><div><br></div><div>One thing which isn't clear to me is the preservation of my existing Storage Group:</div><div><br></div><div>I have 2 x HDD, mounted at /var/lib/mythtv and /var/lib/mythtv2 respectively. These hold all my recordings, videos, fanart etc. </div><div>Should I physically disconnect these during the upgrade, then reconnect and mount afterwards?</div><div><br></div><div>Also I currently have the PPA autobuild repos enabled (0.23), plus multiverse and JYA's repos</div><div>Do I need all of these, or can I simplify the setup?</div><div><br></div><div>Thanks</div><div><br></div><div>
