Optical media only supports bitmapped subtitles, which MythTV supports in the current release version. Unless you are having handbrake run some sort of OCR software, you are not getting raw text subtitles. I don't know how it handles EIA-608/708 text closed captioning from MythTV recordings.<div>

It recognizes they CC tracks are there, but doesn't display them. VLC displays them. Why I asked if mythvideo coudl do this. </div>
