I moved from ubuntu 9.10 with 0.23-fixes (JYA repo) to a fresh install of mythbuntu 10.04 with 0.23-fixes on my combined BE/FE. The upgrade was somewhat annoying (fought with nouveau for a while before winning) and now everything is settling down.
I thought that I had everything working but then I tried live TV. I know, I know, why watch live TV ... but I still want it to work. Recording shows works fine on all my tuners and I can record a show and watch it while it is still recording with no problem but I just can't seem to watch "live" tv.

What happens is the "Please wait" screen comes up and then times out after a minute or two dropping me back to the menu. The frontend log doesn't have much in the way of information:

2010-08-04 00:31:18.887 TV: Attempting to change from None to WatchingLiveTV
However I don't remember ever changing the recording profiles. I have a PVR-500 (dual NTSC) and HVR-2250 (dual ATSC + multirec = 4 tuners). Can someone suggest how to reset my recording profiles to functional default values or suggest settings that should work? I really don't care about much about quality or bitrate since live tv is rarely used in my house but I want something that will "just work".

Poking around a bit more I found that the only recording profile that uses RTjpeg is the "software encoders (v4l based)" but I don't have any software encoders... Under recording profiles I have:
Software Encoders (v4l based)
Hardware DVB encoders
Transcoders

I don't have any software encoders so I'm a little confused why that entry seems to be used by the backend. The wikis and google have let me down as most of the info regarding recording profiles seems to be out of date. I'd appreciate any help.
