I've followed the http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1417756 instructions that Tyler suggested. After fixing the 1934 typos as I input the listed commands into my computer, I tried several variations of the sudo dvgrab -f hdv command. I get the same "Found AV/C device with GUID" and "0.00 MiB 0 frames" outputs as before, and a new error message saying "Error: no HDV. Try again before giving up." Of course, I made my attempt while my cable box was an unencrypted high definition channel.
Anyone... any ideas? As always, see http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/users/438670 for the full history of this issue. Thanks!
