Hi All
I had a perfectly good working .22 setup, it did pretty much
everything I wanted, then the snake oil salesmen told me about .23 and
I was tempted, wish I hadn't started this.
On my frontend using either ALSA:Default or Pulseaudio:default gives
me either no sound or sound for a while then it vanishes with nothing
in the logs to indicate why. Alsa:spdif works fine but doesn't allow
me to control the volume the way I'd like to. Has anyone got sound
working out to an external amp using either alsa:default or
pulseaudio:default and if so could you let me know anything you had to
tweak to get it working please.
I'm running .23 on Fedora 13 from the rpmfusion repos.
The frontend has an optical out to a spdif connected amplifier.
Thanks in advance.

Gotta love sound problems, anyways -
I am running sound out my sound spdif to my hometheater amp working fine in .23.
Open up a term window and become root. Type in "alsamixer" and adjust your settings. I had to choose the correct sound
device (f6) and then I just played a video in the background and stated turning on/off my spdif's until I found the correct one as
I had a few to choose from.
Hope this helps!
