information regarding the hardware would be helpful.<div>start mythfrontend.</div><div><br></div><div>If using XvMC or VDPAU, make sure you have referred to the wiki pages and tried the various procedures to stop issues; and you meet the minimum requirements (VDPAU minimum graphics memory is 512MB - I used to use 256MB and had a whole host of issues with OSD going missing and failing playback and lockups; but since realising that I hadnt correct set to 512MB - I was convinced I had done this in the bios - all works much better...)..</div>
