is set to "ondemand" slowdown. If your CPU is below the
"speed up to take care of lots of work" threshold, Ubuntu will
slow down the CPU to conserve power. WIth 9.10 this threshold was
set to 95%, so mythfrontend running VDPAU would sit at 15%, and the system
would slow the CPU AND THE MEMORY BUS to where it could not feed the graphics
processor!</font>
