resolutions to the computer via the 9-pin VGA cable, the DVI cable, or
the HDMI cable. &nbsp;If you've set up your system to automatically choose
from the available resolutions, this is the list it chooses from. &nbsp;Alternatively,
you can overwrite the resolution/scan rate settings in your /etc/X11/xorg.conf
file by manually configuring the modelines sections in this file.</font>

<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">Note that the list of allowable resolutions
may be different depending on how you connect to your mythtv system. &nbsp;For
example, my Sone TV will not do &quot;native&quot; (=LCD panel) resolution
at 50Hz via the VGA 9-pin connector, but iot is quite happy to do 50Hz
via the HDMI connector. &nbsp;Go figure!</font>
