Are you sure your problem is on the HTPC side? In the first 2 minutes or so after I turn my LCD TV on, I often have trouble controlling anything by IR. That's because the fluorescent backlight in the TV interferes with IR until it has warmed up.<br>

So, I guess the question is: if you leave the TV on and reboot, do you still have the problem? If not, then it's probably the backlight.<br></blockquote><div><br><br>I'm familiar with the IR noise from the LCD panels. However:<br>
<br>1) irw works fine<br>2) mythtv's lirc worked before the upgrade to karmic/myth 0.22<br>3) I have an RF remote that has a tranceiver in a closed cabinet that converts from RF to IR in isolation from the LCD<br>4) the remote is always delayed by a few minutes after mythtv starting, even if I start, wait for it to work, stop, and restart.<br>
