OK I think I'm close to buying one. A few questions.<br>
<br>Whats the distro of choice on it? All of my myth devices run gentoo today.<br></blockquote><div><br></div><div>I'm using it happily with mythbuntu.</div><div> </div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex;">

Just to confirm, no built in IR receiver, whats a good remote/usb receiver. I have a MCE combo and the remote is "cheap" feeling.<br></blockquote><div><br></div><div>Correct, no built-in IR receiver. I ended up buying this:</div>

Turns out the remote only does MCE, but it was still a good price for a USB IR receiver. If you only want to do MCE, the remote is fine.</div>
<div><br></div><div>I ended up getting a Universal R50 remote, btw. $85 from newegg, and does stuff you'd have to pay at least twice as much for in a Harmony. I'm _very_ happy with this remote. Very high WAF, especially with the color lcd button labeling. It's replaced all my other remotes.</div>
