anybody know how i should proceed?<br> <br></blockquote><div><br></div><div>Start easy is a good plan.  Pick some hardware that&#39;s supported already by your distro.  Look on the mythtv wiki for a list of hardware.  Be as standard as possible and you&#39;ll have the easiest time getting everything to work.</div>
