Running an Intel Core 2 Duo processor (it's an off the shelf system, so I don't really know much more about it. When I get home I can check on more specifics). When you say disable CPU throttling, do you mean disable SpeedStep in the BIOS? Or is there more to it? Thanks!
On the second hard boot I looked in my BIOS and SpeedStep wasn't enabled, but something called C State was. It had something to do with speed controls. So I disabled it. I didn't have lockups after that, but that's not saying it's fixed. Only time will tell. It sucks cuz I can't ping the FE when it locks, and can't use the keyboard either. I could try really verbose logging I guess.
