I would definitely recommend updating your nvidia driver to the latest stable version and see how that goes first. If you're still having problems, post another log and see if you can upload the section of video that triggers the behaviour so that I can try and replicate.<br>

I had this enabled on my S939 based AMD system (also VDPAU with 9400GT card) and had hardlocks when playing back certain BBC-HD recordings. After disabling this option these same recordings would play back fine.<br>
