Are you saying that if you control the frontend via VNC, it then
outputs correctly on the actual display device it should display on,
or just across the VNC connection on your the 'other box' (or both??)
If only displaying in the VNC session:
On your frontend, have you gone through and made certain you have set
what you need for your case in the playback profiles?
(Maybe start with the slim profile to test)
Also, what does your mythfrontend.log show when trying to play a video
and it fails directly on the frontend?

>From the vnc'd in computer (computer1) I can watch the videos not problem on that computer (computer1). But physically going up to the box running mythtv (fe/be box) I cannot watch the videos. Ill check the playback profiles. Mythfrontend log doesnt show anything about videos except that I have not setup any SG path. Defaulting to /mnt/store which is ok. I dont see that as an error that would cause this. I have a link from /var/lib/mythvideo to my nfs server.<BR>
