OK, I moved to Myth not long ago from the MCE camp. I like Linux and<br>

Use a HD standalone box like the Asus O!Play media play to access the files over CIFS or UPNP. Also it is a media player so it can view photos and play music. Standalone boxes are quiter, more stable, easy interface. I use one for my bedroom. Best $100 I have spent, also has a faster boot time.</div>
<div><div>2. Buy a MCE Remote for your mythtv frontend if you are still continuing to use it, you can use this remote as mouse in case you need to navigate menus I bought mine for $10 on ebay, hack scripts to restart the frontend if it crashes.</div>

Next we tried XBMC for our front end, it's great, but it also has it's<br>

My next step is going back to Win7 MCE, but I still want to use Myth<br>
TV. So I'm thinking of moving Mythbackend to a dedicated server in my<br>

BTW just for reference, I switched to Myth because moving to Win7<br>
screwed up my Firewire recording, but I can't get that stable in Myth<br>
either (maybe 1 out of 10 recordings works)<br>
