
<html><head><style type='text/css'>p { margin: 0; }</style></head><body><div style='font-family: Arial; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000'>With help from the good folks here I got my HVR-2250 running.<br><br>I thought I'd check /var/log/messages to see if there was a device assigned to the IR portion of the card. I only found this:<br><br>"Nov 21 13:30:45 localhost kernel: tveeprom 3-0000: has radio, has IR receiver, has no IR transmitter"<br><br>Ungh. I guess the current driver doesn't support the transmitter portion. (The basic HVR-2250 card has a jack for a cable that splits into a transmitter and remote reciever.)<br><br>Has anyone successfully accessed the on-board IR blaster?<br><br>(My system has no serial ports, and the inexpensive serial IR Blasters out there don't work with USB to serial adaptors.)<br></div></body></html>
