You've set your audio device as "default"

and you have not defined a default device in your .asoundrc configuration.

I used the "<span class="mw-headline">Simple script to create an

.asoundrc file" from <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://alsa.opensrc.org/.asoundrc">http://alsa.opensrc.org/.asoundrc</a> and appended its

output in /etc/asound.conf <br>

Restarted and now sound works fine<br>
