I purchased one of the devices a couple of months ago and have not been successful in getting it to work with my Motorola DCH3200 STB. I tried following the steps in the wiki (<a href="http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Hauppauge_HD-PVR">http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Hauppauge_HD-PVR</a>). I already had the mercurial driver (v4l) installed to support my HVR-1800 PCIe (DVB) tuner (which works quite well). When I first plugged in the HD-PVR, dmesg showed the kernel had recognized it, and assigned it to /dev/video15; however, when I went to look for this device it didn't exist. Instead, I had a new device: /dev/video4. Trying to cat off of this device produced a file with intermittent frozen frames plus an audio track that seemed intact and clear. Mythbackend had no luck recording from it. I later re-booted and the kernel picked up the HD-PVR usb device first and assigned it to /dev/video0 (which changed my two other PVR-x50 cards device names). Still, mythbackend cannot record from it. I am at a loss of what to try next. Relevant output is:<br>
