Unless I did something wrong, that didn't fix it. I was initially missing the msttcorefonts package.referenced at:<br>
<a href="https://bugs.launchpad.net/mythbuntu/+bug/224114" target="_blank">https://bugs.launchpad.net/mythbuntu/+bug/224114</a><br>
Installing did not fix the problem.<br>

Sounds to me like an issue with openGL-switched on, but driver for card not loaded. I had this once, I went to mythweb and via settings changed the themepainter to QT or default or something. Afterwards I could enable the driver for my videocard and enable opengl again.<br>
Be carefull changing it there, your safest bet might be to exit frontend and see if you have a good driver for your videocard.<br>
