Hi Lindsay - or anyone in the know,

I'm still no closer to a solution - any thoughts?

Thanks,
Stuart.

---------- Forwarded message ----------
Subject: Re: [mythtv-users] Help with Asus U3100 usb tuner
/dev/dvb/adapter1

But the contents of each looks different...

adaptor1 has 4 files - demux0, dvr0, frontend0 & net0. But adaptor0 has demux0, dvr0 & net0 but no frontend0.

Since Myth backend is telling me that DVB:0 is the U3100 and the DVB:1 is the Winfast 2000h, I guess that the U3100 is DVB:0 - or adaptor0 - and is therefore the one that is missing a frontend.

Is this right? If so, is there anything I can change or add to get the frontend recognised?

Thanks,
Stuart.

It all looks good to me. What is contained in your /dev/dvb directory? for two
tuners you should have:

/dev/dvb/adapter0
/dev/dvb/adapter1

I do have a ASUS U3100 myself it it works a charm, with Mythbuntu 9.04, but
updating your V4L drivers should have been sufficient and your dmesg looks good.

You could do a release upgrade:
sudo do-release-upgrade

That's how I upgraded from 8.10 to 9.04, but i think its worth investigating a
bit further before you get drastic :)
