Well, I did transcode with handbrake both a small clip of the film and the whole film, and the results were the same and not that good:

The movie seems to play in slow motion and the sound is at very low frequency, "deep", if you know what I mean. Both the AC3 and DTS leds on the my creative amplifier are off, (I guess they would be) and I didn't check to see if anythig comes out of the rear speakers due to lack of time.

The bright side is that with this speed, you can really appreciate the action scenes, or have the time to paint the house while watching a film (two coats). Each film will propably finish by the time the sequel is out, so the waiting time is practically zero!

Seriously, I will try to test different sound settings for the transcode (I chose Discreet 6 channels - I will try Dolby Prologic II next time) but until then, the results don't look (or sound) promising. I guess the reply you got from Jean-Yves Avenard about the receiver is correct, but the speed of my output film is irrelevant, because it is the same on my other frontend, too, (2 speaker setup).

I'll let you know again after more tests.
