It looks like the issue was related to the themes that were loaded. I did a
mythfrontend -r and was able to get in with GANT but the Mythbuntu and even
the project grayhem themes give this error. Not sure why yet.
I'm having another issue now - when watching TV, select Guide, exit guide
and I get a blank screen same as the background of the menus - almost like
it returned me to the wrong layer. I can hear the video still going in the
background. If I exit to the menu, and re-enter live tv its fine until I
select guide again. I will have to check trac to see if this is common or
something thats wrong with my system.

You were set to use a theme that is not MythUI, ergo the crash.
Trunk's GANT is (sort of) MythUI'd, thus it working.
The second issue is a known bug. Welcome to trunk!

I don't mind known issues or helping out. I thought project grayhem
was converted to work with trunk? Perhaps not or I don't have the
right version. Will have to look around.
This second problem kind of makes the system hard to use doesn't it??
Can't watch tv without exiting to menu and then back in? Seems kind of
important to fix LOL I'll check trac.
