Can someone explain what might be happening to my recordings off of my
Motorola STB DCH3200? All of the shows recorded from this input are of
HD content. Sometimes the recordings are fine, but frequently the
shows are cut short anywhere from 5 minutes to 15 minutes from the end
of the hour-long show. Below is an example of one show that ended up
being 49 minutes long instead of 60:<br>

The log clearly shows it recorded for an hour. Could it be the
commercial cutting? Are you sure the show ended on time?<br>

<div>That's what I initially thought, but my commercial flagging
starts after the recording ends and there is no transcoding done so the
commercials are only flagged. I actually went to the end of the
recording and it was still in the middle of the show and just ended
abruptly.<br>

Good thinking, but no. I am using NTP for the time and I just checked and the time is correct. Also, since I was recording the same program on another (SD) input and it was OK, that would also eliminate the time issue. <br>

I don't believe that the Myth firewire drivers are checking for changes in the status bits (or even if they are present on this plug). But it is almost like the STB just stopped sending.
