I've had a problem with Myth's UPnP server showing up on UPnP clients on my<br>

I have discovered that when I run the optimize_mythdb.pl script it will always<br>
make the server show up immediately, and stay there for some hours.<br>

I made a reference in another thread to this error when optimize_mythdb.pl<br>

Net::UPnP::ControlPoint is not installed!<br>

Several people pointed out that this is a missing perl module, but Myth does<br>
not have a UPnP control point (client), so I have not worried about the<br>
error.<br>

Anyone have any ideas why the optimize script would cause the UPnP server to<br>
show up again on my network?<br>

This is an older 0.21 setup (mythdora 5), if it makes a difference.<br>
<br>
My workaround is to just run the optimize script if I need to see Myth's UPnP<br>
server, crude, but effective. I suppose I could cron it to run hourly, with<br>
the additional result of keeping my db well optimized, but that seems<br>
somewhat drastic.<br>
