</div></div>you have to start lircd before starting mythwelcome. there is no way around.<br>

</blockquote></div><br>Thanks for this confirmation, although I would have liked to hear something different ...<br>Perhaps a workaround would be to configure one button on the remote with irexec to kill and immediately restart MythWelcome? I'll give this a try this evening.<br>
