I am using OpenSuse 11.0 which uses a 2.6.25-kernel if I remember correctly. I have three HVR-4000 cards in two MythTV boxes that works well with recent versions of v4l-dvb. Last time I installed v4l-dvb I had to try a handfull different versions before I found one that would compile with this rather old kernel. I think one of the key things for getting this to work is to run "make release" before "make" and "make install".

The production box only handles DVB-S so far with a recent version of MythTV from Packman.

The other box was put together for the sole purpose of testing DVB-S2 and VDPAU. Unstable MythTV trunk version is the main reason why this is not yet my production box.
