</div>...all good reasons to stay away from it unless you're actually<br>
doing active development rather than just interested in the most<br>
bleeding edge version of the project available.<br>

If checking it out of source control is pushing you past your<br>
comfort zone then patching the source is probably not a good<br>
idea. If trunk seems broken (for whatever reason) then you<br>
might want to hold off a bit.<br>

</div><div><div></div><div class="Wj3C7c"></div></div></blockquote><div><br>i already had the box locked at 720p. after the last post i downloaded the latest firmware, and installed it. that made no difference, and then i recompiled and patched, the mpegrecorder patch did not patch cleanly so i had to patch that file manually. now everything is seeming to work flawlessly.<br>
although some people say not to touch the cvs version unless your a dev, but i needed it to get the hdpvr support. of course you are going to hit some bumps accross the way. but i like the feeling of getting things to work correctly and i'm not new to linux, so i felt i was up to it. when it was all said and done, i'm finally happy that it is working correctly.<br>
