<br>Both Andrew and Phil seem to be having the same problem, getting MythTV to work with an HDMI motherboard. I would suggest these threads be combined. So, the common thing is that both of you are trying to get audio out of an HDMI motherboard. But you have different chips, one an ALC883 and one an ALC1200. So, it is probably not the chipset.<div>
<br></div><div>The settings I have been suggesting work on an ASUS M3A which does not have HDMI so I suspect it is HDMI related. I see from some of your postings that the exact settings for spdif are different as you two have at least two options for digital output and I have one. One of you said that there were three toggles in alsamixer, where I have only one, for example.</div>
<div><br></div><div>The statement in the setup ALSA:spdif is probably incorrect for HDMI and likely are incorrect for the spdif part of your HDMI MB as well. I think you two can learn from each other here although one is looking for spdif and the other for HDMI audio.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Other than that, I think what is needed is someone who has HDMI on the MB and Myth working.</div><div><br></div><div>Anyone?</div><div><br></div><div>Allen</div><div><br></div><div><br></div>
